The Felceto Farmhouse, located within the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve, is a centre for educational activities dedicated to preserving and showcasing rural traditions

Il Felceto - Casa delle tradizioni contadine

This historical farmhouse serves as a venue where children and visitors can experience daily life as it was working the land and the changing seasons.
Surrounded by an old olive grove and nestled within the forest, the farmhouse has been reconstructed to recreate the exact atmosphere of a bygone era. The objects on display, all accessible for handling and use, bring visitors closer to the local rural culture.

The Felceto Farmhouse, an ancient rural building, has been restored to house a wide collection of agricultural tools, domestic utensils and handcrafted items. Each object on display tells a story, offering a glimpse into the daily lives and work of farming communities. The exhibitions are enriched with information panels and scenographic reconstructions, illustrating traditional techniques and agricultural production cycles.

The recreated environment is inspired by the first half of the 20th century. Most of the materials and panels on display are the result of extensive anthropological research, including interviews with people who once lived in the reserve’s farmhouses. This is not merely a museum but rather a “House of Doing” that invites hands-on engagement.
