The tourism enhancement project for Trevinano has been developed through an approach that prioritizes sustainability and community involvement, aiming to offer visitors an authentic experience in the village. This measure seeks to regenerate the village not only aesthetically but also socially and economically, leveraging the active participation of the local community.
Central to this plan is the creation of a scattered hotel (Albergo Diffuso), a model that transforms historic village homes into hospitality facilities, allowing visitors to live in direct contact with the local community. This choice preserves the existing building heritage and promotes a form of tourism that respects the village’s authenticity and identity. This new hospitality model will stimulate the local economy by creating jobs and boosting commercial and tourism-related services in the village.
Additionally, the project includes the creation of a guesthouse designed primarily for students attending courses organized in collaboration with the project’s partner universities. This will foster cultural exchange and socialization.Another key element of this measure is the requalification of the former Trattoria da Gianfranco, a symbol of the village’s culinary tradition. Overcoming the challenges of generational transitions, this space will be revitalized through Trevinano Ri-Wind. Other than its role as a restaurant, the trattoria will also become a new emporium, where typical dishes are made with local ingredients and where one can buy artisanal and regional products. This space will serve as a community and tourist hub, providing a welcoming environment for exchanging ideas and experiencing the village’s culture.
To support responsible tourism, a fleet of electric vehicles (bicycles and cars) will allow visitors to explore the territory ecologically and without compromising the natural beauty of the landscape. For outdoor enthusiasts, a camper area equipped with all necessary amenities will cater to those wishing to explore the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve and the surrounding natural wonders. A new info point in the village centre will serve as a reference for visitors exploring the area and its history and traditions.
Finally, a calendar of events promoting local products, including markets, tastings and food festivals, will provide local producers with a platform to make a name for themselves and offer tourists the chance to enjoy the territory’s products. These events not only celebrate the village’s culinary traditions but also strengthen its cultural identity, attracting more and more people in search of authentic experiences.
The creation of a brand identity for Trevinano represents another step toward consolidating its reputation as a high-quality tourist destination based on sustainability and authenticity. The Trevinano brand will become synonymous with tourism that respects local traditions and contributes to the social and economic renewal of the village.The project, therefore, goes beyond restoring physical spaces, creating a new model of community built on active participation, integration and sustainability, addressing today’s challenges with a forward-looking perspective.
