Unspoiled nature

Trevinano rises majestically on a rocky cliff, offering a breathtaking panorama that stretches as far as Monte Amiata, overlooking Val d’Orcia and enchanting locations such as Radicofani, Celle sul Rigo and San Casciano dei Bagni

Its privileged position, immersed in greenery, makes it an ideal starting point for exploring the surrounding nature, with places like the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve and Villalba Park, located in the neighboring municipality of Allerona (TR) and easily accessible.

Walking through the streets of the village, which is home to just over a hundred inhabitants, one can appreciate the tranquility and beauty of the urban centre, with its stone houses and narrow streets inviting you to take a relaxing stroll. Every view of the surrounding landscape reveals boundless beauty.

Trevinano is nestled in a natural landscape of extraordinary beauty, characterized by gentle hills, lush woods and views that stretch as far as the eye can see. The village is situated in a privileged location, surrounded by three regions that are rich in biodiversity: Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany. This position gives it a unique variety of landscapes, where the colors and scents of the countryside change with the seasons.

Trevinano

Just outside the village, nature reigns supreme. A few kilometres away are Allerona and Villalba Park in Umbria, as well as San Casciano dei Bagni in Tuscany, famous for its hot springs.

The nature surrounding Trevinano is dominated by the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve, a protected area spanning over 3,000 hectares, which is a true paradise for flora and fauna enthusiasts. Here, ancient woods of oak, Turkey oak and chestnut trees alternate with clearings and flowering meadows, creating a natural mosaic that invites contemplation and exploration.

Situated on a hill at approximately 600 metres above sea level, the village offers stunning views of the Paglia Valley and on clear days, to the north one can see the peaks of Monte Amiata and Val d’Orcia, renowned for its picture-perfect landscapes. The presence of rivers, streams and natural springs further enriches the territory, contributing to its ecological wealth and the freshness of its air.

This unspoiled environment is the ideal refuge for numerous animal species, including wild boars, roe deer, foxes and a variety of birds that populate the skies and surrounding woods. The trails winding through the reserve and the areas around the village offer endless opportunities for walks, hikes and trekking, immersing visitors in a landscape that seems to have come straight out of a Renaissance painting.

In this natural context, Trevinano is an oasis of peace, where time seems to go by more slowly and daily life is still deeply tied to the rhythms of the earth. It is a place where humans and nature coexist in harmony, offering visitors an authentic and rejuvenating experience in a perfect balance between history and nature, where the beauty of the landscape and cultural heritage merge into a unique experience.
